Saving Generations is proud to annouce our new branch developing in Baltimore, MD. Our first official project will be: The Govan's Community Garden Sponsored by Saving Generations. The intent of the garden is to strengthen the unity in the community and to end some of the blight in the Govans/Wilson Park area. This garden will be in honor of Mrs. Carrie Crank-Cephus, our oldest living member on the Board of Trustees. The dedication was made on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the celebration of Mrs.Carrie's 85th birthday. The authorized production of the community garden was granted by Ms. Nia Govan of the Baltimore City Adopt-A-Lot program and the Wilson Park Nothern Neighborhood Association (WPNNA). It is the hope of Saving Generations to establish a neutral safe/drug free zone where residents in the community of all ages can come and learn the importance of nurturing something precious from beginning to end by way of planting their own seeds and caring for them until the vegetables are ready to take to the table. All viable vegetables/herbs will be for anyone in the community to reduce some of the stresses and financial burdens of government programs. First distribution preferences will be given to: participants of the garden, senior citizens, and families with children.
